WHAT WE GO THROUGH TO GET THE GOODNESS OUT
FREEZE

Our high-quality cultivars are frozen immediately after harvest, locking in the terpenes and turning the trichomes brittle so they are more easily separated from the plant.
SOAK & SHAKE

The frozen flower is then submerged in the ice water and agitated. This simple force dislodges the trichomes. Loaded with resin, the trichomes sink while the plant material floats.
SIEVE

A graduated series of mesh filters, (measured in microns and getting smaller/finer at each stage) strain the trichomes from the water. Spooned from the mesh by hand, the trichomes are laid out on the sheets to dry.
DRY & SIFT

To prepare them for the press, trays of wet trichomes are sublimated in pharmaceutical freeze dryers. Dried sheets are then broken up and sifted.
PACK & PRESS

Dried, sifted trichomes are packed into fine mesh bags for one last filtration. As the bags are pressed and liquefied, any remaining plant materials is trapped, producing clarified rosin.

PRESERVE, PREPARE, PARTAKE
KEEP IT COLD
When storing, rosin keeps best in the refrigerator. Then it's time to dab, let the rosin come to room temperature first. This brings out the flavor of the terpenes and helps the melt.

TAKE TEMPS
The lower the temp, the more flavor. The higher the temp, the more vapor and potency. 400 - 500° is the ideal middle ground-a smooth, strong hit with full terpene flavor profile.
START SLOW
Cold dabs can always be reheated, but you can't un-burn scorched terpenes. Working up from the cooler side of the temperature range will help you find the ideal combination of flavor and vapor.

LEARN & ADJUST
Different rosin will perform differently at different temperature's. Take a cotton swab to the remaining oil. If its black, or there's none left, it was too hot. Light yellow in color? Too cold. But if the oil remains, and its dark brown, you're in the ideal range. Adjust temp as needed.

GLOSSARY OF TERMS
Cannabinoids: naturally occurring chemical compounds found in the cannabis plant that interact with the body's endocannabinoid system and regulate various psychological systems, like pain, mood, appetite, sleep, and immune function.
Cultivar: a combination of "cultivated" and "variety", it's a plant that has been selected and bred for certain traits.
Terpenes: aromatic compounds found in cannabis and other plants, providing distinct smells and flavors. Terpenes can also have therapeutic benefits with relaxing, energizing and anti-inflammatory properties.
Trichomes: tiny, crystal-like resin glands found on a cannabis plant. The trichomes contain the plant's cannabinoids (THC, CBD, etc.) and terpenes.
